The local bead shop (Yum Yum Beads) has opened an upper floor, where they have semiprecious beads and chips. I went in there this afternoon and spent too much did my best to encourage this expansion and stimulate the economy. (Even if the moonstones were cultured and the amazonite was dyed.)

Diablo 3 continues to be great fun. I'm currently playing a wizard in Act 2, and running around in the desert. The Templar is still definitely the best body-shield for a caster like myself -- the other two henchmen (the Scoundrel and the Enchantress) are both stand-back-and-shoot/blast types as well, and don't do as good a job at distracting oncoming enemies.

The weather continues cool and grey, though not actually raining at the moment. (Though I doubt this will last.)

(Okay, I just heard rain hitting the window, so cancel that not actually raining at the moment note.)

I wonder if any fic-writing fans of the recent Avengers movie have thought of crossing it over with Diana Wynne Jones' Eight Days of Luke? Probably it would be difficult.

(Looks up Eight Days of Luke. Immediately adds to reading list)

Speaking of reading, guess what I've been doing today? :)

Small businesses are the backbone of society!

I haven't read Eight Days of Luke, so I'm afraid I'm ineligible.
