and possibly get a cake at Betty's
Aug. 18th, 2012 01:16 amI think tomorrow I will go to York. I could do with something a little out of the normal Saturday shopping run, and the weather promises to be nice (possibly too nice), and . . .
. . . oh, let's be honest. I am virtuously not going to the Quilts UK show at Birmingham this weekend, on the grounds that there's the Great Northern Quilt Show at Harrogate in two weeks time, which will have many of the same vendors and exhibits, and a much less painful rail fare and travel time. So I feel the need to indulge myself a little in some other way. Thus York. And possibly some shopping.
Yes. That sounds a nice way to spend part of the weekend.

Davros: This part of the galaxy is developing quickly. Famine *was* one of its major problems.
Sixth Doctor: You turned them into food?
Davros: A scheme that has earned me great acclaim.
Sixth Doctor: But did you bother to tell anyone they might be eating their own relatives?
Davros: Certainly not! That would have created what I believe is termed... "consumer resistance".
