butterfly, flutter by
Sep. 9th, 2012 01:35 amYou know, all that rabid stashing of fabric has its good points. I can say "hey, I need nineteen fat quarters for this quilt idea I have" and just walk over to my stash and find nineteen entertaining fat quarters.
(Then again, one could call this "worrying" and "hoarding behaviour" and "disturbing", but I assure you that I have my fingers in my ears and am humming loudly.)
(It's going to involve butterflies, for the record.)
Saw the new episode of Doctor Who tonight. Spent a few moments wishing the Zygons had been involved (there's precedent, the Loch Ness monster) but was on the whole happy with the episode as a whole. (Though would the plot have been different if it was Rory's mother? Should the plot have been different if it was Rory's mother?)

Mariposa
Butterflies are white and blue
In this field we wander through.
Suffer me to take your hand.
Death comes in a day or two.
All the things we ever knew
Will be ashes in that hour:
Mark the transient butterfly,
How he hangs upon the flower.
Suffer em to take your hand.
Suffer me to cherish you
Till the dawn is in the sky.
Whether I be false or true,
Death comes in a day or two.
