not too dissatisfied
Sep. 27th, 2012 02:08 amThere is always a certain relief which comes with the passing of a monthly checkpoint meeting at work. Things are, or at least appear to be, on schedule, and even if new work packages loom in the future, for the moment matters are under control.
Also, I got a cover for my Kindle today, a neat little folio-effect thing, which causes me to feel highly stylish. And I was able to secure two metres of a rather nice butterfly fabric at the local branch of Hobbycraft to back an upcoming quilt with. And the rain appears to be easing off.
Not too bad, on the whole.

Your real, devastating row has many points of resemblance with a prairie fire. A man on a prairie lights his pipe, and throws away the match. The flame catches a bunch of dry grass, and, before any one can realise what is happening, sheets of fire are racing over the country; and the interested neighbours are following their example. (I have already compared a row with a thunderstorm; but both comparisons may stand. In dealing with so vast a matter as a row there must be no stint.)
