A rather nice way to end the year. I took the quilt top into work that I made last night, and one of my coworkers said that he would like to buy it when I've finished it.

(Though I'm not sure this is a good internal precedent to set with respect to staying up late to finish things. Ah well.)

But! The work year is over - for me, at least. Shopping and sewing and packing tomorrow, then down to my parents on Sunday, and there for a week. Very nice. Very nice indeed. I can feel a great sense of relaxation in my future.

Well, after the five hour train ride to get there, that is.

Enjoy your vacation! And if you get a seat (are standees allowed in long-distance trains there) enjoy the train ride too if possible. Umm, what's the proper blessing for this? 'May the tracks stay clear of snow and water; and may all *other* tracks stay clear so your train is not delayed by delays elsewhere', perhaps?

The way the weather's looking, I may need that blessing.

I have packed books, kindle, Nintendo DS, and knitting. I will probably have enough to do even if the train gets stuck somewhere and we aren't found till the day after. I may possibly overprepare a little for journeys. :)
