now for Whimsyshire

incandescensHad a pleasant surprise last night.
I was indulging in a little bit of Diablo 3 before calling it a night. For a while now I've been grinding in order to obtain a particular component for a particular item. (If you're a D3 player, you've probably already guessed what it was that I wanted: the Gibbering Gemstone, from Chiltara, in the Caves of Frost, for the Staff of Herding.) I've been trying to get my hands on that for a while, but given that the Caves of Frost only show up as an instance with 50% probability, and Chiltara herself only shows up an unidentified but distinctly low percentage of the time, it had so far been a wasted effort.
But last night, past all hope, I finally got it. And now I have a Staff of Herding. Next stop, Whimsyshire, where I will slaughter cute little pastel ponyesque creatures that have absolutely no connection with anything that might possibly be copyrightable.

Who is the Ambassador?
The Ambassador throws magnificent balls, which are often the highlights of the social season. The competition for invitations is intense among up and coming socialites. He is particularly charming, and it seems churlish to ask him whether he's the ambassador of anywhere in particular.

Date: 2013-02-23 04:05 am (UTC)In other news, I can survive Whimseyshire on Inferno mode. Colour me rather surprised. XD They definitely made some difficulty nerfs since I first tried...
I should see if the new patch that buffs monks is out yet. I've been looking forward to that, and trying to continue to plow through Act III Inferno. I got Ghom down a bit ago, and then paused.
