a lot of fabric is waiting for me

I should start another quilt. I've got the planning done, and I have the fabric mostly cut. But the last few evenings, I've just been tired when I got home from work, and I have napped instead, collapsing onto my bed with the window open and enjoying the cool evening air.

Tomorrow will be a glorious day of resolution and starting things. Or at least, so I resolve. It will probably also be a day when I try to get my grocery shopping done earlier rather than later, since the weather forecast is promising storms in the late afternoon and early evening, and I do not like it when my open-toed sandals get soaked.

Molly was experimenting again. Shanks of lamb, according to Lesley, casseroled with something fishy, possibly anchovies, possibly sardines and two scoops of mashed - I said swede but Nightingale insisted at least one of them was parsnip.

"I'm not sure we should eat stuff when we don't know what it is," said Lesley.

"I'm not the one who bought her the Jamie Oliver book for Christmas," I said.

"No," said Lesley. "You're the one who wanted to get her Heston Blumenthal."

(hugs) We'll see how it goes. If I did do some sewing, it'd be earlier on in the evening, not during my late evening. :)
