Really a very nice day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and made me wish I'd worn a tshirt rather than a long-sleeved top. The Hebden Bridge Rag Market was surprisingly fruitful. (2 pieces of Liberty lawn! And some nice quilting cotton, and a dozen old quilting magazines at 10 pence each.) And Hebden Bridge itself was lovely, with lots of little shops, including another quilting shop (it's not my fault, they had some Moda fabrics, you cannot blame me for buying Moda fabrics) and some antique shops which were fun to look over.

And as mentioned earlier, the weather was utterly gorgeous.

And in the train on the way back, it was one of the older models of train which had openable windows at the top in the carriages, which meant that there was a lovely gentle breeze.

Yes. Very nice indeed.

I will not ask what the newer model of train has in the way of ventilation. But glad you had such a lovely day.

I recall European trains from the 80s that theoretically had AC but in practice not so much. And though the windows *could* open, it took a train staff to do it, if you could find one. Not fun.
