today's irritation
Jun. 26th, 2014 02:22 amToday's irritation is that I've lost a chunk of filling. It's in the same area where I've lost a chunk of filling before (back upper premolar, comes under a lot of stress) so it's not the world's biggest surprise, but it's still annoying. And it doesn't expose anything directly, so it's not a matter of pain or immediate danger. But it is annoying.
Must phone the dentist tomorrow morning.
Pondering the fact that the Tour de France starts in Leeds on Saturday week. Am I going to be lazy and not bother to go and try to watch the start? It is something that's unlikely to happen again in my lifetime. Then again, it would involve getting up early on Saturday morning, and huge heaving crowds. Decisions, decisions.
On a more cheerful note, I've booked a day's annual leave in a fortnight's time to go and see the Great Yorkshire Show at Harrogate. It's a big, though not huge, agricultural show. It should be interesting. I can only hope the weather holds. I tried to go and see it in 2012, and I believe that was the first time in the show's history that it was rained off. Let's hope we don't get a repeat.

Date: 2014-06-26 01:53 am (UTC)Am of the belief that nothing is worth getting up early on a Saturday to deal with massive crowds. One or the other, but not both. (See: why I am not going to Pride Day.) Anyway, it's just a buncha guys in lycra off in the distance so you can't even see them properly. At least the guys in lycra at Pride Day are right in front of your face.
