wrapping up warm

First day back at work, and as expected, my mailbox was stuffed full.

Early meeting tomorrow, so should probably not stay up too late tonight. Must show up awake and interested, or at least awake-looking and interested-looking.

Weather is not actively raining at the moment, but has turned gloomy and cool enough that I am currently wearing slippers and a shawl. (As well as, you know, other clothing.) I know that I was complaining about the heat earlier, but hey, weather deities, moderation in all things.

Sorry to go all idle! Was doing RPG stuff with kid and spouse, and the plot was getting tangled.

We are escorting a genetically engineered "mermaid" around the planet, and someone is conspiring to harass the mer (and us) into leaving this planet and going to the other planet which has the Organization (Space Mafia!) in charge. Essentially. But we have no proof. YET.

The weather tastes of fall, now, but we still have clear, bright days in the 90's. *laughs* I do envy you your shawl and slippers time.

It was a lovely holiday! I'm now in the stage where I wish it had lasted longer...

I blush to admit that I have now gone to the stage of donning a sweatshirt. One is not supposed to need to do this in August!
