fluffy monster, called Groargh the Cuddly

Took newly-made stuffed toy (photos here and here) in to work for general opinions. (Hey, some of my coworkers have children - I might as well take advantage of their opinions on whether or not kids would like the fuzzy thingy.) General approval and amusement, and the interesting discovery that one coworker used to make teddy bears, and is vaguely considering getting back into it. I must bear that in mind (ha ha) for if I need any future presents for people of an age or inclination to appreciate teddy bears.

Vaguely aware that there's the Scotland vote tomorrow. However, I also have a dentist's appointment at 5pm, which will hopefully distract me. Small mercies. (And will hopefully not result in any fillings, so fingers crossed on that point.)

Oh, how cute. Made big enough, he'd do for an adult.

(To explain: bad-back side sleepers are advised to have a pillow between the knees and to hold a pillow in their arms to keep everything in alignment. This makes for a lot of pillows. Have sometimes wished for a Dutch wife to hold onto, though the traditional Dutch wives are made of bamboo, as is suitable to Indonesia's climate.)

That is an interesting thought. I'd probably have to invest in better quality stuffing, though - he's currently filled with cheap polyester fluff toy stuffing from the local haberdashers, which is okay for something that size, but would collapse on itself if it was filling anything as big as a pillow.

The cheap pillows I buy at the dollar store seem to be filled with polyester fluff too. And it does collapse sooner rather than later. Must buy a new knee pillow some time.

Exactly. There probably is stronger support stuffing available, but it would be correspondingly more expensive.
