ups and downs

incandescensOne of those ups-and-downs days. The vintage clothing sale which I went to didn't have any convenient silk shirts (as previous ones had done) which I could dissect for patchwork bits. OTOH, the local haberdashers was having a half-price sale on fat quarter bundles and remnants, so I scored there. And I had a very nice coffee and cake at a local Colombian cafe.
Doctor Who... hm. Interesting in some parts, irritating in others. Granted the Doctor is coming from a slightly more orthogonal-to-humanity perspective in this regeneration, there is such a thing as not passing information along. Though a number of his actions and words do make more sense if you consider him to be viewing his relationship to Clara as parental, or even grand-parental, rather than in any way romantic. He just happens to be the obsessive, controlling, possessive type of parent.
