crafting! whee!

Sold a set of fridge magnets on Etsy, which is a positive way to end the day, even if it does mean having to run to the post office tomorrow.

Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate this weekend. My parents are coming up on Friday and I'll be having supper with them, then spending at least part of the day at the show with them on Saturday. Should be a nice weekend, if not very restful.

Out of curiosity, have you ever had to use some kind of clear resin or lacquer that hardens to make crafts? Reason I ask is that in the spring/summer where I live, we have a TON of four-and five-leaf clovers growing on our property - I've never seen anything like it - and someone brought up the possibility to me of turning all these clovers I keep finding into some type of craft thing. Which I'm not sure how to do, being that I'm not exactly the crafty type, but I have so many of the clovers (I collect and press them) I might as well do something with them...

I've read descriptions of making resin jewellery, though I haven't tried doing it myself. (Partly because I have a small flat, and you really need somewhere that has plenty of air exchange to avoid problems with the resin vapours.) One can buy various forms of resin, and moulds which you can pour it into to create solids - and yes, I imagine you could include dried clovers in the process.

No problem! I was getting quite interested in the idea, especially with those stamp fridge magnets I was making (currently a bit sidelined while I concentrate on other stuff), but in the end I decided that a resin project would need a larger workspace and really thorough air conditioning. Still, maybe someday...
