the countdown to Christmas has started
Nov. 30th, 2014 03:44 amMy opinion of the government continues to go through the floor and down into the cellar. Roll on the next general election. (Nothing specific causing this, just in general.)
Quite busy in Leeds today, though not overwhelmingly packed. Then again, it is a Saturday in the run-up to Christmas, and the weather was - well, if not decent, at least tolerable. No actual rain or snow. So crowds aren't that surprising.

Sterrington paused outside the door to a box. He reached across to touch Irene’s chin, tilting her face so that she could see him clearly. “You do understand that this is all professional?” he said politely. “Nothing personal, Clarice.”
Really, on the whole, it was one of the nicer things which had been said to Irene under circumstances when she was drugged, tased, or otherwise unable to reply. It didn’t actually involve any immediate threats, and it even raised the possibility of future interaction on better terms. But it was only Irene’s inability to reply that stopped her saying something rude in response, rather than the polite of course, I quite understand, till next time which Sterrington seemed to be expecting.
