It was snowing outside earlier tonight. Some of it's still lying, but large patches of road and pavement are showing dark and damp, so I suspect that it's not going to be something to worry about.

And it really was lovely snow, thick flakes falling from a night sky that seemed glowing and opalescent, while I sat in front of the television with a quilt over my legs, watching Labyrinth and knitting a scarf, and smelling supper cooking in the oven.

Lovely.
