I don't seem to have many original thoughts at the moment. Well, no, I have some, but they're currently concerned with my Ambercon UK scenarios. (I see they're short on games, as usual. Now I can feel virtuous for volunteering to run two. But not virtuous enough to offer to run three.)
I began getting ideas this afternoon while ploughing through the latest Cardiothoracic data, so ended up jotting them down on a sheet of rough paper next to me so that I wouldn't forget them but wouldn't have to concentrate on them and lose track of the catheters and angiography. Assassination attempts, check. Plots to cause war, check. Revenge attacks, check. Popular demonstrations, check. Dire trouble for the player characters -- well, one does hope so.
Oh, and it's too hot and too pollinated. But you probably knew that already.

August 1968
The Ogre does what ogres can,
Deeds quite impossible for Man,
But one prize is beyond his reach:
The Ogre cannot master speech.
About a subjugated plain,
Among its desperate and slain,
The Ogre stalks with hands on hips,
While drivel gushes from his lips.
