Well, now it's confirmed and I've requested annual leave for it; job interview on Thursday. Fingers crossed. Now should I take the train that gets me there 45 minutes early, or the one that gets me there one hour 45 minutes early?

I have a nasty feeling I'm going to plump for the second one.

Finally got around to sewing a button firmly back onto my good blazer; will need it for the interview, and in the middle of Birmingham five minutes before the interview would be a bad time for it to fall off. I know the universe has the worst possible sense of ironic timing, so why tempt it?

Job interview?

Er, sorry. ;) Clinical Coding related job, better-paid than usual, so I expect that a lot of qualified applicants will be coming out of the woodwork. Still, I got called for the interview, so that's at least promising.

Is the job offer in Birmingham, or is it just the interview? Seems like a long way to commute, even if England is tiny. ;)

Interview is in Birmingham. Actual job may be sited in several places, one of which is Winchester, which is about 15-20 minutes away by regular train or bus, which would be quite feasible.

And no, there is no way I would go for a job with a 2.5 hour daily commute.

Yay for the interview! Good luck! Good timing! And I hope you have fun at the interview. Oddly enough the ones that I'm mildly nervous about and then, during, I find myself actually getting over it and have fun with the talk are the ones that I do the best on.
