Well, now it's confirmed and I've requested annual leave for it; job interview on Thursday. Fingers crossed. Now should I take the train that gets me there 45 minutes early, or the one that gets me there one hour 45 minutes early?

I have a nasty feeling I'm going to plump for the second one.

Finally got around to sewing a button firmly back onto my good blazer; will need it for the interview, and in the middle of Birmingham five minutes before the interview would be a bad time for it to fall off. I know the universe has the worst possible sense of ironic timing, so why tempt it?

Ooh! The best of luck to you - that you be offered the job if you want it or that you can tell that it is the wrong job for you.

Alas, it'll have to wait until next week -- I'm off for vacation mid-afternoon. But I'll look forward to it, definitely. ^_^

Job interview.
Job interview?
Segueing immediately into discussion of button-sewing and train schedules as suspense-building device. Now, see, *this* is why writers suck. Mmph. :D

Is the job offer in Birmingham, or is it just the interview? Seems like a long way to commute, even if England is tiny. ;)

*snicker* Glad to have that sorted out! 2.5 hour commutes are evil, evil, evil.

Is that 2.5 hour one way? I have the 2 hour both ways, and with an audiobook it isn't so bad.

Of course, I only have to do that for another month now.

One way. And expensive too, my Google Fu informs me. :(

Augh. That would require a move closer to work. A 5 hour commute is just too much.

It is good to NOT tempt the Iron Goddess.

She always seemed less merciful than I thought she should be...

anyway...

Yay for the interview! Good luck! Good timing! And I hope you have fun at the interview. Oddly enough the ones that I'm mildly nervous about and then, during, I find myself actually getting over it and have fun with the talk are the ones that I do the best on.

Whatever. I hope it goes well for you!!
