still blinking
Feb. 3rd, 2004 12:10 amI'm not used to getting it sorted that fast.
This morning I was considering the fact that I had 14 days of annual leave left to use up before the end of March, that I could carry 6 at most forward to next year, and that my boss was talking about how important it was to have holidays. (Yes, and who'd see to my work while I wasn't there?)
This afternoon I was (tch, tch, tch) looking up stuff on the internet while setting up Excel spreadsheets, and working out costs for such things as lastminute.com trips to Paris or Brussels for a few days. After all, if I was taking a week off somewhere, it would be fun to do it thoroughly.
Then I looked up prices for cheap flights to America.
This evening I was checking with Beth, and then booking a flight to Boston for the 20th of February. I can finance it if I declare it my indulgence of the quarter -- well, you know what I mean -- and all in all, counting incidental expenses, it's about the same as travel-and-lodging in Europe. Or at least, not very much more.
Tomorrow I get to justify it to my boss. Well, she was telling me to use up that annual leave . . .
(Incidentally, it seems my DVD of Belleville Rendezvous is zone 0. Right, that's getting packed . . .)

And it's one for the morning glory,
Two for the early dew,
Three for a man who will stand his ground,
And four for the love of you.
