Thanks to a coworker updating a spreadsheet with resolved query data, I was able to do some nice analyses today and some pretty graphs. Ahh, pretty graphs.

And we had snow! Not real snow serious snow impressive snow, just tiny flakes at a few points in the day that didn't even lie, but it was the first snow I've seen this year, and my vicious little heart was touched.

Then I went home and turned the radiators on.

60% of afghan done. We progress.

Autumn Thoughts

In autumn the scene by the great wall changes
The geese go to Heng-yang -- they wouldn't think of staying
On all sides, the horn sparks sounds of the frontier that echo
And fill a thousand mountains
Mists roll in, the sun sets, the isolated city closes its gates

I drink a cup of muddy wine ten thousand miles from home
The record of our victory still blank: no hope of going back
Long drawn notes on a tartar flute, frost --
The men are restless
A white haired general sheds a soldier's tears
