Ah, sweet Saturday. Picked up a copy of the first Nextwave collection at the local comic store, and ended up getting coffee and cake in the nearest Starbucks so that I could sit down and read it. Classic stuff. A shame it's finished, though I understand it went out on a high note.
My second attempt at a fingerless glove is going far better than my first attempt did, I'm glad to say. One might mutter something about practice improving skill. One might indeed.
I need to get my hands on some plastic double-pointed needles at some point before October (so no hurry). Somehow I doubt that metal ones are going to be acceptable on an aeroplane.
First chunk of redlines done and sent in. That's just under half of it. The rest to go.

Fairy-tales do not give a child his first idea of bogy. What fairy-tales give the child is his first clear idea of the possible defeat of bogy. The baby has known the dragon intimately ever since he had an imagination. What the fairy-tale provides for him is a St. George to kill the dragon.
