the hail comes rattling by

Overslept today. Shame on me. There was some hail this morning (notably while I was out at the corner shop buying milk) but the rest of the day's been fairly mild. So much for weather forecasts.

So much, also, for holidays. Ah well, it's been good. Next break, Easter.

My mother got the simmel cake in time, and liked it very much.
