wet wool

I'd forgotten what wet wool smells like. Washed a few of those knitted squares to check if the dye would run (a couple of faint marks on the cheap white towel I put them on afterwards, but only a couple, so I'm reassured) and then found the room full of the smell of sodden wool. Opened the window to air it a bit. Luckily the wind and rain outside were in a convenient direction and not blowing in directly.

Indeed, the weather outside has been foul most of the day. I've been very glad to be inside. Not what one really wants for a weekend, though, and especially not for a Bank Holiday weekend. And yes, tomorrow has rain and wind predicted as well. What fun. I've got vague plans to visit a local shopping centre which I hadn't previously known existed, but I may reschedule them a bit if it's really pouring. We'll see.
