Having a very nice time, even if the weather is hardly worthy of being August. Even an English August.

Being lazy, doing some knitting, rotting my mind by rereading some Anne McCaffrey (the older stuff! really!), planning to do stirfry for parents tonight.

Back to Leeds on Saturday, and my parents are off for a fortnight in the Pyrenees on Sunday. Lovely.

Owing to a few tiny little purchases of wool and books, envisage trouble coming up with packing. Ah well, il faut souffrir pour etre well-stocked. Picked up new (to me) Liz Williams, Sharon Shinn, Elizabeth Bear, and other fine things.

Wonder if I can find a copy of Jet Lee's Tai Chi Master on DVD in town tomorrow, given my mother's currently attending tai chi classes. It'd be interesting to watch her reaction . . .

Ears feeling somewhat better, which is a great relief.

How nice that Monday next week will be a bank holiday, and I'll have an extra day before easing back into work. Very convenient.
