ptarmigan, psalm, and phthisis
Aug. 9th, 2012 12:55 amWork today went quite well, though a new work package is looming on the horizon for us all. Ominous thunder, etc.
Successfully gave blood this evening. (Even though they haven't turned me down on account of low iron for a couple of years now, I still worry every time.) Had supper at Wagamama afterwards (a rather good Japanese restaurant chain which just happens to have an outlet on a possible route home from the blood donor centre). Then got home and flopped.
Rather unproductive evening. But enjoyable.

“I am Psmith," said the old Etonian reverently. "There is a preliminary P before the name. This, however, is silent. Like the tomb. Compare such words as ptarmigan, psalm, and phthisis.”
