Had a pleasant afternoon shopping in York. Got rained on a bit, but nothing that couldn't be mostly dodged. Ah, British summer.

Investigation shows that it is quite reasonable to take bookplates to a convention and ask authors to autograph those, rather than to lug along a lot of books. Good. Now I just need to find some good bookplates which don't have ex libris over the signing area.
