technically tomorrow, subjectively today
Sep. 14th, 2016 01:27 amI do believe it's my birthday tomorrow. Well, technically today. Another year gone.
(Incidentally, I found a "we called but you were out" card from the postman when I got home this evening, so if you did send me something, whoever the mysterious you is, then it's possible that I will be picking it up from the post office tomorrow. Just for the record.)
Tomorrow there will be cake at work. Because I'm bringing it in. Ha.
---
“Just one question!” Lily shouted. “What’s your name? Who are you?”
Irene weighed the possible consequences of giving her name against the fact that Lily might well be able to find out anyhow, with a bit of research and the Fae gossip networks. And it was true that Lily had done her a favour by choosing not to shoot. She mentally shrugged and crossed her fingers. “Irene Winters!” she called.
And as she spoke Kai rose up, then Hu, climbing into the night sky.
