laziness in motion
Jan. 2nd, 2005 10:56 pmHm. Awfully tired, not sure why. (Could it be the fact you're cutting down from 5-6 mugs of coffee per day? common sense demands. As usual, we shall ignore common sense.)
Last day of freedom tomorrow.
Mother safely dispatched to health farm for next week. Father off to Guernsey tomorrow. The acid test will come when I'm in the supermarket tomorrow afternoon with nobody else's tastes to worry about and meals to shop for. Heh.
---
Proud Maisie
Proud Maisie is in the wood,
Walking so early;
Sweet Robin sits on the bush,
Singing so rarely.
"Tell me, thou bonny bird,
When shall I marry me?"
"When six braw gentlemen
Kirkward shall carry ye."
"Who makes the bridal bed,
Birdie, say truly?"
"The grey-headed sexton
That delves the grave duly.
"The glow-worm o'er grave and stone
Shall light thee steady.
The owl from the steeple sing,
'Welcome, proud lady'."
