rapid entry
Jan. 22nd, 2005 12:53 pmRapid entry from Leeds public library, having signed up for temporary usage of Internet facilities (hey, it's cheaper than a cybercafe) . . .
My god. Leeds architecture is glorious. Gloriously insane at moments, but also glorious. The place is a hotchpotch of eighteenth, nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first century. Gorgeous old stuff, gorgeous old stuff refitted with new interiors, quite decent new stuff poking up in the middle.
Have so far seen (counts on fingers) four properties, been round five estate agents, a couple yet to check this afternoon. Of the properties, one was really too small and noisy, one was great but will likely be gone by the end of the day (it was that good), and two were quite decent and I'm strongly considering them.
Accommodation fine, Leeds great.
Thanks to all who wished me well.
Good local Japanese restaurant, too. Which doesn't hurt.
