It rained today. Moderately in the morning, then a sort of constant mistlike wet consistency to the air through most of the day, then straight lines of rain from heaven to earth while I was walking home. Not as heavy as it could be, but definitely heavy enough. I was very glad that I already had an umbrella with me, and that there wasn't much wind, so the rain stayed fairly vertical and I didn't have to play tilt-the-umbrella-into-the-wind too much.

Bought a CD of Princess Ida after work. It's been ages since I listened to it; I used to own a tape of it, but the tape got old and tired, and I'm very fond of the piece. (Also picked up a copy of the strategy guide to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, being curious. If anyone has an opinion on the game, do share it.)

Three-day audit course next week, Monday-Wednesday. While it will be useful, I am not looking forward to losing that much time off work. Nobody is.

Also, must remember to phone mother on Sunday (for indeed, it is Mothering Sunday on that day here in the UK). And must remember to check which direction I'm putting the clocks in and when I need to do it.

Toonami is showing Parker Lewis Can't Lose in the early evening. This may have something to do with my eating supper a little earlier for the last few days. I remember that I used to watch it when I was at university over ten years ago. It's still very good. I wish they'd bring out a compilation on DVD. (I also want Frank as a minion.)

---

As luck would have it, he arrived at Alverstoke's house just as Alverstoke emerged from it, exquisitely attired in a blue coat of Weston's tailoring, the palest of pantaloons, the snowiest of neckcloths, and Hessian boots so highly polished that they glinted in the sunshine. Harry, pausing with one foot on the first of the shallow steps leading up to the door, received an instant impression of tremendous elegance, but not for a moment did it occur to him that he was gazing at a Tulip of the Ton. That coat of blue superfine was moulded over magnificent shoulders; and those clinging pantaloons in no way concealed the swell of muscles in his lordship's powerful thighs which unmistakeably proclaimed the athlete.

I used to watch that show years and years ago. It still pleases me in some strange and obscure way whenever I recognize a cast member from that show in a different place, like "Kube"'s recurring role on ER.

*reads about Oblivion* Oh, man. As if Morrowind didn't suck enough hours of my life. That sounds cool.

...Have you played any of the earlier games in the series (Redguard, Daggerfall, etc.) and are they any good?

I loved "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" in the early 90s XD A good moment to notice the shift between the 80s to the 90s I say as well.

God, I wish they'd release that on DVD.

I always meant to run my Teenagers From Outer Space group through a crossover with the cast of that show...

I'll add my own "Loved that show" to the list. I even was looking for a DVD of the show just last week! (and of course being dismayed that there were no plans for it to be out)

Don't know the show but jeez, Harry in your quote. Ohh those thighs! Harry/ Alverstoke OTP! Harry then disguises himself as a woman called Frederica in order to seduce the Tulip, yes?
