I drag myself away with a struggle from the pretty balls of wool on ebay. Fortunately none was pretty enough to be really tempting, so it isn't too much of a struggle.
One coworker has been hit by the lurgy. This is not a good time to have coworkers going down with the lurgy. Fingers crossed she is back with us soon. I do care about her as a person, really I do, but I also care about her workload.
Have been indulging myself playing Sword of the New World. Some new screenshots up here -- http://pics.livejournal.com/incandescens/gallery/0000dfrf?page=1 -- the ones up to "Three men fighting in a dungeon" are from the beta months ago, while the ones from "Heroes in quarters" are today's. It really is ridiculously pretty. I would like to have a game which is this pretty, though with more costume choice, and with the interesting quests/storylines of some of the other games out there. And set the whole thing in baroque steampunk Sigil while you're at it, Providence.

Fog
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
