well, yes, I suppose I can, can't I?
Feb. 28th, 2003 12:06 amPardon me. I'm in something of a buzz. I'm going to Paris at the end of March.
It started earlier today, when I was writing an email to a friend, and commenting that next time I had the chance to look at French BDs (graphic novels) in France, I'd spend a good long time doing so.
Then later that afternoon, I thought -- so when am I going to go to France again?
And then, I thought, wait, I booked the last week of March off work in order to use up spare annual leave that I couldn't carry forward, and just to relax in generally, didn't I?
And then I was invoking http://www.lastminute.com without even thinking about it. Let's see, trips to Paris, involving going across and back by Eurostar and staying there for a couple of days in a 2 or 3 star hotel with bed and breakfast.
My, my, here's one for only ninety-nine pounds. (Plus supplement for single traveller.)
So -- 24-26th March -- I'm going to Paris. I still can't quite believe that it could be so simple a thing to arrange. Up to London nice and early, hop on the Eurostar at Waterloo, three hours later get off in Paris.
This is going to be fun. I love Paris. I've been there before with friends.
(rubs hands together) I'm exceedingly cheerful. I clearly needed a holiday. Only a month to go till I get it.
