incandescensWell, the coworker whom I lent Weiss Kreuz and Saiyuki DVDs to is now an enthusiastic WK fan (even if she knows it by the name of Knight Hunters, sigh) and has enjoyed the couple of episodes she's seen of Saiyuki so far. This is good. Both that she's having fun, and that I'll have someone else to babble to.
An unnamed fic (you know which, April) continues to advance. I need to finish this one, if only to prove to myself that I can handle the genre and manage the style. ("Look, there's Everest! Quick, fetch the crampons!")
OTOH, it's going dark on me, but is this really surprising?
I swear at some point I'm going to write up a fic with Hisoka (from YnM) hunting out platform shoes because he wants to be the tallest for once. For obvious reasons.
Oh, just scribbled this, as an example of Victorian occult anthropological syncretism:
"My anthropological theories definitely prove that this Kali-figure is, in fact, a pre-Adamite representation of the Virgin Mary, and is therefore associated with birth and mercy as well as death in the sense of dying to be reborn in God. And here I have certain Chinese vases demonstrating a definite correlation with the Bodhisattva Kuan-yin..."
