incandescensI really should have seen to buying train tickets to Birmingham for the quilt festival there next week earlier. According to the prices online, buying a ticket is now in the painful gouge range. I will try checking in person at the station tomorrow, in the hopes that someone at the tickets desk there can point out a cheaper route or ticket. (I mean, I am going to go in any case, but at the moment the options are "high priced ticket on Thursday or Friday, or lower price on Sunday", and I'd rather not be going to the show on the Sunday when I'm going to be going back to work on the Monday.)
(Well, I suppose that yes, the prices might be cheaper right at the end, but on the other hand, the vendors might also have sold out of some of their best stuff.)
(Decisions, decisions.)
Anyhow. Check at the station tomorrow. Quite possibly I have missed out on some sensible option.

What's the problem with the Second City?
Never mention the Second City to the Masters of the Bazaar. Mr Wines will look at you narrowly and give you its worst vintage. Mr Cups will fly into a rage. Mr Veils will harangue you for your discourtesy. Mr Iron will say nothing, only write down your name with its left hand.
