Finally received my parcel. Blasted private parcel delivery companies. Mental note: if I ever order from that person on ebay again (I'm not blaming him, just the parcel delivery company) then either pay extra for Royal Mail, or ask flat out that he send the parcel to the pub down the street, who are generous and kind and prepared to receive parcels and hold them for people to pick them up. Bless their cotton socks.

The weather has turned mild, though it's still cool and has a bit of breeze. Extremely pleasant. I hope it lasts at least a little while before turning to Oh God Dear Heaven Have Mercy This Horrible Sticky Heat, Yes I Know It's Laughable To Americans But It Hurts Over Here.

Old ways are the best ways. Periodically one could use their telephone as well.

They are a good pub. They also do a rather nice takeaway beer-battered fish and chips. All wrapped up in newspaper.
