And so to work
Jun. 30th, 2002 11:13 pmA week of work stretches before me. Wait, no, not quite. Four days of work stretch before me, followed by Ambercon UK on Fri-Sun. This is good. I must remember to compile all the character stuff which people have sent me for the scenarios.
Apparently Archonia (Belgium-based manga/anime stockist) will be getting in some more Saiyuki soon. Excellent. I'm missing volume 8. They might even get in some more of the artbooks, if I'm really lucky. :)
Need to continue Muraki/Tsuzuki fic. Need to do lots of stuff. Need to remember to buy bread and salad for supper tomorrow, or there will be a certain lack of food. And chicken for Tuesday stirfry. Need to try to talk mother into watching more Cowboy Bebop during meal.
http://www.megatokyo.com is a lot of fun.
Mmm. Must gear up and get ready for another week.
And don't forget, since I don't have to be at Ambercon UK till Friday evening, I get to spend Friday in London. This is a definite positive.

And don't forget more Lion and the Unicorn on that list of things to do. Must find out what happens at the masque! ^_^
Remind me to poke you tomorrow online for what you're doing with the Amber session you're running next weekend.

Date: 2002-06-30 05:11 pm (UTC)Currently slogging away at Lion and the Unicorn.
Will have a look at those strips at work tomorrow -- should brighten up the day considerably.
As to the Amber scenarios (I have two to run -- where does my brain go when people wave forms at me and say "please sign up here"?) I'll be delighted to tell you about them. You can suggest new evil twists. New evil twists always good.
Oh, and here's a snippet from the new Lion/Unicorn chapter (she said helpfully).

"So I . . ." She broke off. Someone in the next room was screaming.
Dominic's hand fell from her shoulder as the two of them ran for the door. They collided with a group of bystanders, dancers, College staff, guests, and other interested parties trying to get through. "Excuse me, please . . ." Dominic gasped, trying to pry his way through politely.
Madeline set her teeth, grabbed Dominic's hand, put it on the back of her belt, then began edging her way through the crowd by using her elbows, and in one case, accidentally-on-purpose stepping on a Roman senator's sandalled foot. "Sorry," she muttered, and inserted her shoulder between a pair of Regency-dressed women, then pushed forward, knocking them to either side. Dominic was close behind her, and she could hear his sincere apologies to the people that she was busy displacing. Then she came through into the other room, and stopped in her tracks.
Dominic gave her the final shove forward that she needed, so that he could himself emerge from the scrum. "What . . ." He caught sight of what she'd seen. "God. Father!"
