one good deed

Trying to think of something to put in today's lj entry. I can't really talk about some of the things at work, as (A) confidentiality data issues, (B) it would bore you all rigid. I've run out of things that I can say about the weather. And it's self-evident that since it's Friday, I am tired and grateful that it's the weekend.

I'll just remind everyone that the new Max Gladstone, Full Fathom Five, is out in a few days. There, that's my good deed for the night.

I hope the stuff at work you can't talk about isn't too irksome. 'Heat is work and work's a curse' as Flanders and Swann said. ('But all the heat in the universe is gonna coooooooool down.')

Oh, my sense of time is all out of whack. What fabric did you get when you went to Harrowgate?

Ah, sorry. I got five metres worth of a dark red fabric with tangled golden flowers, on Tuesday of last week, which is bookmarked (so to speak) for backing a quilt I have planned. I'll try to put up photos of it when it's closer to done.

It's nothing that bad, just irritation from someone sending in a query to us who we really thought should have known better.
