packing bags, planning routes
May. 26th, 2004 11:35 pmCleared enough work today to feel moderately virtuous about heading off tomorrow. Coworker who shares office with me for my analysis work was kind enough to lend her A-Z of Birmingham and to supply directions to some shops, for after the interview was over. :)
Bag packed for tomorrow. Stack of printouts about SNOMED-CT clinical coding to present an air of authentic knowledge by the time I get there. Book of Japanese prints that I've been meaning to read, which will do for if I need to sit around in their offices and wait. Gameboy and how-to-beat-Final-Fantasy-Tactics-Advance book for the train. Perhaps I should stick that INS/MV campaign book which I'm translating in there as well; 2.5 hours either way is a long time.

The Purist
I give you now Professor Twist,
A conscientious scientist,
Trustees exclaimed, "He never bungles!"
And sent him off to distant jungles.
Camped on a tropic riverside,
One day he missed his loving bride.
She had, the guide informed him later,
Been eaten by an alligator.
Professor Twist could not but smile.
"You mean," he said, "a crocodile."
