updates

a) Application of new hard disk did not work.

b) I am therefore getting a new computer. It should be arriving on Monday next week.

c) In any case, I am going home-to-family for the weekend, so will be checking up on email/lj via the family computer.

d) I really did not need this, not now, not at all. Budget for the next few months. Severe budget.

e) At least my coworker managed to save almost all my writing. If I'd lost that, I would have been much unhappier.

f) I wish I didn't have a dentist's appointment (checkup) this afternoon.

g) Hopefully things will be somewhat more back to normal next week. Even if I do have to reinstall everything on the new computer.

h) Sigh.
