Good things about organising yarn stash: finding yarn which I put away a while ago and which now inspires me to a specific project connected with it.

Less good things about organising yarn stash: having new projects.

Must remember to send in my tax form before the 30th. Must also remember to photocopy/scan-copy it first.

The weather forecast promises more rain, wind, and cold weather. I have given in and am now turning on a radiator at home in the evenings, and have got out the brushed cotton/flannel sheets/duvet-cover/etc. I would have preferred to hold out a bit longer, but it was getting cold.

M: Don't worry. When we take over the world, you and other sympathisers will be treated well and given positions of power. :)
V: Who will be first against the wall?
V: Needlepointers?
M: No, people who refuse to wait while we're trying to make up our minds in yarn shops.
V: "All of these yarns are blue. Just pick one." *blam*
M: Precisely.

Tried messing with Metaplace, but think that I lack the skills (and/or possibly application) to do anything good with it yet. Maybe when they have a bigger library of stuff to work with.

Dentist something of an anticlimax: first the hygienist appointment is cancelled due to the hygienist being ill, then the dentist checkup appointment is cancelled due to the dentist having to see to an emergency. Have rescheduled for late November. Am consoling myself by trying to think about how lucky I am to have a dentist that does emergency work.

Fiddly bit of work came through today, involving small precise changes. Am fed up to the back teeth with "stenting", and if I had a stent right now, I know where I'd insert it.

The sky was the most incredible colour as I was walking home; deep blue/grey on one side, ruffled grey/pink on the other.

Should be good and do springkink writing, but instead feel more like going to sleep at a reasonable hour.

Elegy in a Country Churchyard

The men that worked for England
They have their graves at home:
And bees and birds of England
About the cross can roam.

But they that fought for England,
Following a falling star,
Alas, alas for England
They have their graves afar.

And they that rule in England,
In stately conclave met,
Alas, alas for England,
They have no graves as yet.
