disconnected, mostly
Oct. 4th, 2012 01:25 amThe dreaded lurgy is going round at work. One coworker was off ill, and two others were doing the ritual of "well, you know, I was feeling a bit off today, but not quite bad enough to call in sick..." Ah, autumn.
Getting an urge to knit a pair of gloves. Now shall I try a new pattern, or just go and find the good old Fetching version? Probably the latter. It's so convenient.
Incidentally, the nice thing about falling asleep in an armchair in front of the television in the early evening while hand-stitching the binding on a quilt is that the quilt will be spread out over your legs, and does its job. One is comfortably warm.
---
King: Chiswick, remind me to send flowers to the king of France in sympathy for the death of his son.
Chiswick: The one you had murdered, my lord?
King: [absentmindedly] Yes, yes, that's the fellow.
