Work has kicked from "idling while waiting for stuff to arrive" gear into "get stuff done" gear. While it is good to be getting the stuff done, and it means we have a better chance of hitting deadlines without needing to request extensions, this does result in me being rather worn out by the end of the day.
Side note to self: check if/when local Waterstones will have the final Temeraire book in stock.
Did rapid EU 2016 (that's the football) sweepstake at work this afternoon after being reminded that it started tomorrow. I'm not quite sure why I've ended up doing the sweepstakes for the last few football world cups, grand national races, etcetera, given that I don't follow the football or the horses or anything. Maybe it's just my contribution to office team spirit. After all, how else could we all get together to moan about how the Luckiest Team Member always seems to draw the winner.
(For the record, she pulled Germany and Albania as her two teams. Get your bets on now. You heard it here first.)
