no, really
Jul. 30th, 2004 12:30 amTook a brief vacation from writing tonight, and was very lazy.
Have established that if I get the 7.45 am bus from down the road, I can pretty much get in to work for 8.45 am, which, coupled with a 45 minute lunch break, means I should be able to leave at 5pm. Assuming no catastrophes. Which may be assuming too much.
People at work still surprisingly pleasant. Cool. Long meeting today not so cool, but hey, these things happen. Unfortunately.
Tomorrow is a Friday, and I will have finished my first week at new job. I think I just about believe it. I would pinch myself, except I was doing that through a lot of aforesaid long meeting.
---
Said by the coroner's jury of the guy who shot legendary gunman John Wesley Hardin (shooter claimed to have hit Hardin in the eye in self defense, rather than in the back of the head, as witnesses claimed): 'If he shot 'im in the eye, it showed excellent marksmanship. If he shot 'im in the back of the head, it showed excellent judgement.'
