Ooof. So, being braindead . . .
Got up to London okay (though early), went the rounds of various shops, spent too much money, quite a lot of it on myself -- I now have the whole run of Saint Legend, aka The Angstful Diva In The Purple Off-The-Shoulder Trenchcoat, and am looking forward to enjoying it -- and also picked up a couple of mini-translucent Christmas trees from Muji to take into work on Monday. Heh.
Met up with Jo (and Rob, and others) at Dragonmeet, had an excellent time chatting, had to leave too early for my liking because I needed to do more shopping. Feh.
Got back latish. Sleeping in tomorrow sounds like an excellent idea.
(Annoyingly, by the time I got to Dragonmeet they'd sold out of copies of Exalted: The Fair Folk, so I still don't know what the interior looks like yet. Oh well.)
---
Now Winter Nights Enlarge
Now winter nights enlarge
The number of their hours,
And clouds their storms discharge
Upon the airy towers.
Let now the chimneys blaze,
And cups o'erflow with wine;
Let well-tuned words amaze
With harmony divine.
Now yellow waxen lights
Shall wait on honey love,
While youthful revels, masques, and courtly sights
Sleep's leaden spells remove.
This time doth well dispense
With lovers' long discourse;
Much speech hath some defence,
Though beauty no remorse.
All do not all things well;
Some measures comely tread,
Some knotted riddles tell,
Some poems smoothly read.
The summer hath his joys
And winter his delights;
Though love and all his pleasures are but toys,
They shorten tedious nights.
