blam, sploosh
Feb. 23rd, 2003 01:44 amI was sort-of-watching From Dusk to Dawn earlier, in that it was on the television while I was working on other stuff. In a word, ick. (So why did I have it on? Yes, well, I was making tea for my mother, and I saw that she had it on, and I was curious, even though most of her attention was on the statistics book in her lap.) I'm sure it did wonders for attempting to script a letter from a thirteenth-century hermetic mage discussing the foundation of the University of Oxford.
Actually, one of the more amusing bits there is being able to put in hypotheses about the future, based on what we know from history happened. "Indeed, it seems to me that if this hostility between students and town continues, we may find it necessary to found halls in which the students may reside . . ."
Mm. did some shopping this afternoon. Got the new Alex book by Peattie. (Cartoon about daily life in the City of London among bankers. Vicious. Quite funny.)
Also got stickers to go on comic bags, so now have no excuse not to arrange/label/sort doujinshi collection. (coughs) So, when you see me noting here in several months time that I finally got round to doing so . . . yes, well.

"Sunday comes only once a week," they told each other.
