self-advertisement is so embarrassing
Feb. 18th, 2011 12:19 amPerhaps the fact that I'm yawning like this is a signal that I should call it a night.
My sewing machine has developed a rather grinding tone when it starts up. I'm not sure why. Fortunately I did fill in a guarantee on it, so possibly I should take it in for a checkup. My main reason for slowness is the fact that this means carrying it in by hand (I have no car). Not much fun.
Incidentally, I now have a shop at Folksy -- http://www.folksy.com/shops/Cranelily -- and I hope at some point to actually manage to sell something. (Not that this is meant as a hint, but if anyone feels like buying, I would certainly not stop you.)

Well, Aimee Semple McPherson has written a book. And were you to call it a little peach, you would not be so much as scratching its surface. It is the story of her life, and it is called In the Service of the King, which title is perhaps a bit dangerously suggestive of a romantic novel. It may be that this autobiography is set down in sincerity, frankness and simple effort. It may be, too, that the Statue of Liberty is situated in Lake Ontario.

Date: 2011-02-18 10:27 am (UTC)It's not so much a clicking noise - it's more of a grinding whirr when it starts up, and a continuing slightly noisier state when it's in motion. It's definitely coming from the top part rather than the bobbin part.
