Okay, so I love today's Oglaf. (Words involved possibly not safe for work or young children, should you have either in the immediate vicinity.)

Quilt-for-raffle-for-orang-outang-sanctuary progresses nicely, and just needs binding. This will probably take two or three evenings work: the machine-stitched part of it is reasonably straightforward (please, please let it not all go badly wrong now that I've just said that) but hand-stitching the back of the binding for that extra smooth touch does take a while. (The quilt is three feet by four feet. That makes fourteen feet of hand sewing. Time to put a good musical DVD on and sing along while whipstitching.)

I could wish there wasn't work tomorrow. At least the clocks haven't gone forward yet. Another joy not to look forward to.

What was the First City?

Only two things are known to remain of the First City: the name, the Crossroads Shaded By Cedars, and the saying: even the First City was young when Babylon fell.

*giggles a lot* I think I get tag-teamed by a muse like that (usually when I'm in the shower or something) and one who plays hard-to-get...

Hee. I think I need a muse like that.

Yeah, the hand stitching is the longest part. I did a king sized quilt once. Never again.

I find talking books are pretty good for the long horrible repetitive bits - it's only sound, so I never get tempted to watch something that isn't what my hands are doing.

(Not that a good movie isn't pretty cool too.)

I love Oglaf.com! I think my all-time favorite is the Fountain of Doubt.
