the nobility of the almost-human porpoise
Jun. 14th, 2011 01:02 amFinished the hand-quilting on that Dresden Plate quilt. Thank goodness. It was very quick and easy to machine-sew the binding on the front, and while I still need to hand-sew it round the back, that's much easier and more straightforward than the quilting. Plus I can give it a few days rest and do something else, since the coworker whom it's a present for isn't going to be back at work anyhow for a couple of weeks. :)
Other than that... well, one of my coworkers was off ill today. I'm combining sympathy for her illness with a selfish hope that she's back at work tomorrow.
Have sent off my passport to get it renewed. One thing down, a lot of others to go.

[Moments after an off-camera explosion, we see Batman and Robin speeding in their Batboat.]
Robin: Gosh, Batman. The nobility of the almost-human porpoise.
Batman: True, Robin. It was noble of that animal to hurl himself into the path of that final torpedo. He gave his life for ours.
